This small series of beautiful 19th Century monochromatic photographs were made using the cyan-o-type technique. The technique uses sunlight to react to paper treated with a chemical, capturing a ghostly imprint of whatever is placed upon it. In this case, sea plants were used. The particular blue background that is created is unique and compliments so many interior decor schemes. The plant used in this fine art print goes to show that the cyan-o-type technique can capture the finest detail.
