A roll of barcode-patterned wrapping paper.
American designer Michelle Belgrod used Processing to ornamentalize barcodes as a decorative pattern, defamiliarizing a graphic artifact typically associated with efficiency and logistics.
Barcodes are among the most overlooked visual systems in contemporary life: functional forms, optimized to accelerate commerce and distribution.
Celebrate consumption in the twenty-first century with this eye-catching paper!
